CSHH Soccer held its 6th Annual Food and Clothing Drive to benefit the Family Service League of Huntington. Thanks to all those who donated. We collected over two truckfuls of supplies to be distributed to local families this season.

BW Gottschee Academy (BWG) has entered into a developmental partnership agreement with Cold Spring Harbor Huntington Soccer Club (CSHH) which will see the two clubs build a best-in-class approach to youth soccer player development in the Long Island/Queens region through a number of joint programs, shared knowledge and a more coordinatedapproach to player integration.  The partnership will provide a comprehensive, youth player development program and will be anchored around BW Gottschee’s full status Academy program for players aged 10-19.  Players from both clubs will have unrivaled access to top coaches and have the opportunity to play at the highest levels ofcompetition in the United States throughout each stage of their development.  This partnership aims to provide a clearly defined pathway to the US Youth National Teams, professional academies internationally, as well as exposure to high level college programs.

CSHH’s player development is led by Dave McCarthy, the Director of Coaching for the club. McCarthy is very familiar with BWG’s philosophy and understands how important it is to have that elite player pathway for his players and his club. “CSHH focuses on individual technical skill sets which is compatible with BWG’s philosophy.  This synergy will further strengthen the environment in which players develop the various pillars of the game,” said BW Gottschee’s Academy Director, Paul McGlynn.

Accomplished youth players will have the opportunity to train in programs based in Long Island and Queens.  Both organizations have built highly successful programs focused on attack minded, possession-oriented soccer that prioritizes individual development over results.  “Cold Spring Harbor Huntington is very excited to partner with BW Gottschee with the goal of strengthening the youth soccer environment in Long Island. With the partnership, we hope to help build on BWG’s tremendous national success and improve the experience of our youth players by offering a continuous long term pathway guided by highly experienced and accredited coaches,” said CSHH’s Director of Coaching, Dave McCarthy.

Players are eligible to participate in the USSF Development Academy, the NEPAL Pre-Academy and NYCSL.
